The Hotel
The Hamilton Crowne Plaza will host SFWA’s 2011 Nebula Awards Weekend, Thursday, June2th through Sunday, June 5th, 2011.
The Hotel is located at downtown at 14th & K Streets, N.W. Washington, D.C. one block from the McPherson Square Metro Station our gateway to the vast wealth of information at the Smithsonian Institution and five blocks to the White House.
Of particular interest to Nebula Awards Weekend participants are: The National Archives, located between Seventh and Ninth Streets, NW, with entrances on Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues and the Library of Congress Founded in 1800, is the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution. The Library seeks to spark imagination and creativity and to further human understanding and wisdom by providing access to knowledge through its magnificent collections, programs and exhibitions. Many of the Library’s rich resources can be accessed through its website at http://www.loc.gov and via interactive exhibitions on a personalized website at myLOC.gov.
Transportation
Washington has a wealth of transportation options, for example, Washington, D.C. is served by three airports: Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), Washington National Airport (DCA) and Dulles International Airport (IAD).
Washington National Airport is located in suburban Virginia and is the closest airport to the Hamilton Crowne Plaza.
For those of you who prefer to travel by train.
While you’re in the Nation’s Capitol, you can travel throughout the city.
